Power Points & Circuits

Power exactly where you need it, done neatly and safely, so you can retire the powerboards for good.

Most homes were wired for a fridge, a kettle and a TV, not the dozens of devices we plug in today. That's why powerboards end up daisy-chained behind the TV and along the kitchen bench, which is one of the most common fire hazards we see.

We add, move, upgrade and repair power points of every type, and run dedicated circuits for anything that draws serious power. Every new outlet is protected by a safety switch, flush with the wall and lined up properly.

01

Power Points

The right outlets, in the right places, at the right height.

Extra & Double Power Points

More power points behind the TV, beside the bed, in the home office, along the kitchen bench and in the garage. We can also convert old singles into doubles. It's quick, affordable and far safer than powerboards and extension leads.

USB-A & USB-C Power Points by Daxon Electrical

USB-A & USB-C Power Points

Charge phones, tablets, watches and laptops straight from the wall without bulky plug-packs. They're perfect for bedsides, kitchens, study nooks and kids' rooms, and fast-charge USB-C models suit modern laptops.

Designer Power Points

Matching power points to your new switches in matte black, white, brushed metal or slimline profiles, so everything looks consistent from room to room.

TV & Entertainment Power

Recessed power points behind wall-mounted TVs so the plug sits flush and the screen can sit tight against the wall, with cables hidden inside the wall.

Kitchen Island & Benchtop Power

Power in the kitchen island, plus pop-up benchtop outlets that disappear when you're not using them and appliance-cupboard power for the coffee machine and toaster.

Floor Boxes

Flush floor outlets for living rooms with the couch in the middle, home offices and boardrooms. No more cords stretched across the floor.

02

Outdoor & Specialty Outlets

Heavy-duty power for outdoor living, workshops and the toys.

Outdoor Weatherproof Power

IP-rated outlets for the BBQ, alfresco, pool equipment, garden tools and Christmas lights, all protected by a safety switch.

15 Amp & Heavy-Duty Outlets

15 amp outlets for welders, compressors, big heaters, pool equipment and EV charging cables, wired on their own circuit to handle the load.

Three-Phase Outlets

Three-phase power outlets for workshops, sheds and machinery.

Caravan & Boat Power

Dedicated outdoor outlets for keeping the caravan, camper or boat charged and ready to go.

Generator Inlets & Changeover Switches

A safe way to run your home on a portable generator during power outages. It's installed properly with a changeover switch so there's never any back-feed risk.

03

Circuits & Repairs

When things trip, spark or stop working, we find the cause and fix it properly.

Dedicated Circuits

Dedicated circuits for home offices, fridges and freezers, gaming rigs, server cupboards, workshops, granny flats and anything that keeps tripping the power.

Repairs & Replacements

Cracked, scorched, loose or dead power points replaced and the cause tracked down. Burn marks or a burning smell mean call us straight away.

Relocating Power Points

Moving outlets for renovations, new kitchens, wall-mounted TVs or furniture layouts, with the old points made safe and patched.

Smart Plugs & Energy Monitoring

Smart power points and switchboard energy monitors that show what's actually using power in your home, so you can cut the bill.

Good to Know

Are powerboards dangerous?

Used properly, a quality powerboard is fine. The problem is chaining them together, running heaters and kettles off them, or hiding them under rugs and furniture where heat builds up. If you rely on powerboards every day, you need more power points.

FAQs

Common Questions

How much does it cost to add a power point?

It depends on where it's going and how easy the cable run is. Adding a point next to an existing one is quick, while a new circuit or a run through a double-storey wall takes longer. Call or send a photo and we'll give you a clear price.

Can you add a power point outside?

Yes. Outdoor points need to be weatherproof (IP-rated) and safety-switch protected, which is how we install them.

What's the difference between a 10 amp and 15 amp outlet?

A 15 amp outlet has a wider earth pin and is designed for heavy-duty equipment like welders, big heaters and some EV cables. It needs its own circuit to handle the load safely.

Why is my power point warm?

A warm or discoloured power point usually means a loose connection or an overloaded circuit, and both are fire risks. Turn it off and call us.
